TESTIMONIALS

Dear Myrna,
I so appreciate your sending a copy of your beautiful new book to me!
Flipped it open to the shots of ermine, marten and fisher raiding suet
feeders and said, WHOA we are not in Ohio any more!! LOvE it! Thanks for
including my Improved Zick Dough recipe and the links. You're awesome and
so is this book!

Good morning Myrna,
I was very pleased to have a chance to meet you last weekend at your Wildbird General Store book launch. The book looks wonderful and is chock-full of great information. I’ll be giving copies away as Christmas gifts to my birding friends this year!
I showed my children the two photos of mine that were included – they recognized the birds right away, especially the Northern Flicker on the first page. My son commented “our bird is famous!” and said he likes how birds “point their beaks straight up in the air when they drink, sort of like a wolf howling at the moon.”
Thanks again for the opportunity to contribute photos to the book; you’re right that it sort of feels like a “family” photo album!
 Take care,
-Wendy Peters-Edmonton"This beautiful bird feeding guide will help you attract more species to
your yard and help you learn about our remarkable avian neighbours!” Whether you are just getting started or have been feeding backyard birds for many
years, this book will teach, entertain and delight!

Hi Myrna,
Just received your awesome book in the mail this week - thanks so much! My kids love it and I'm looking fwd to employing a lot of the ideas in my own backyard. Cheers,
-Tim Hopwood   website

Happy New Year, Myrna.

Your book is a treasure.  All the amazing work you did to put this together
will be beneficial for so many to use and enjoy!

The knowledge you have shared is so extensive.  It is hard to think of any
topic you have not included in your guide.  I am learning all kinds of
tidbits from scanning through it.  Now it’s time to read it cover to cover!

Your photos are excellent and illustrate the points you are making so
well.  You have supplemented them with a good variety from other
submitters.  I feel very honoured to be among them!

-Diane Stinson-Calgary, AB

Myrna, I am one of those who heard Brian Keating's review of your book  on CBC and bought a copy. And another copy for a gift.
Your book is so rich in providing information, knowledge, and insight into our local Bird family. I am not a birder. I have no technical knowledge about birds.  I do not yet have Bird feeders. What I do have is a little yard full of trees and a no herbicides, no pesticide, no fertilizer way of life. My birds somehow understand this. They come to bushes very near me when I'm in the front and  then move to sit on the branches of trees near me when I am in the back yard.
So, when I heard Brian talking about your book, I was thinking, " Is there something I can do respectfully and responsibly for my birds?"
Your book provides the guidance I need.
Thank-you, Myrna.
Respectfully,
-Jack B
